FRIENDS

Today I am enjoying home made gravlax on a bagel. It's so good. Yesterday I was at the beautiful Adelynrood meeting people and telling them about my upcoming retreat Midsummer Madness Art Retreat

Connect with your creativity under the sun at Adelynrood in Byfield! Painting, lunch, fika and friends included. Learn the relaxing art of Swedish kurbits in a beautiful setting. Reiki and nature walks too. Saturday 8/17, 9 - 5

About the event

Tina Rawson is doing a "Midsummer Madness" Swedish Folk Art all-day art retreat at Adelynrood on Saturday, August 17th from 9 - 5 for everyone of all ability levels and creativity! Enjoy painting folk art, food, flowers, painting and celebrate the sun! Adelynrood in Byfield, MA is a very special place. It's a large summer camp from 1914 which has a nice modern wing, great rooms, beautiful gardens, a dining hall with excellent food and walking trails and more. It's not to be missed. We will even pick you up at the train in Newburyport, please let me know if you need help getting there from the commuter rail.

SCHEDULE

Saturday 8/17 schedule 9 - 12 pm meet, greet, make friends and paint. I'll teach you how and give it all of the supplies. We use yummy acrylic paints in fun colors, many brushes and you can paint on paper or canvas. You will have choices of projects and they all can be traced so it's easy for everyone! No experience needed.

12 - 1 pm lunch, outside time, relax and enjoy the beautiful grounds. Lunch is provided at the cafeteria. It's a beautiful wood paneled room and they have a big buffet with choices for everyone. Think "summer camp for adults", this place is amazing!

1 - 2 pm your choice, paint, eat or enjoy a walk on the trails or meditative stroll. Connect with nature, bring your paints outside if you want. We'll meet back at 2

2 - 3 pm Tina's presentation on Swedish folk art and flower crowns. I'll bring all the supplies so you can make a crown because obviously you are royalty 😊

3 - 4 pm We will present work for fun and show off your crowns! Let's get a group photo and enjoy some coffee. You deserve it! You will finish a piece that you hang with pride at home and I'll give you all a frame!! Sign up by the end of July to get that free frame! You will want to frame it so why not book now! See Midsummer Madness Art Retreat at www.tinarawsonart.com/upcoming-events

4 - 5 pm There will be free reiki to work out those kinks and a final present from me.

I speak Swedish and grew up in Lund so I'm extra excited to share folk art with you and make flower crowns after with finish our beautiful paintings. All supplies are included, you will walk out of there with beautiful memories, a canvas piece of art of which you can be proud scaled to your ability level and experience, a flower crown and new friends. The cost is $200 which includes instruction in the fine art of making Swedish Folk Art flowers, a delicious lunch, "fika", the gorgeous setting with gardens and trails, as well as flower crowns to help you celebrate summer the Swedish way.

Note, lodging is additional if you wish to spend the night (as low as $70) please call Adelynrood to set that up. Note, the date was changed from June 15th  to August 17th but it's still the same great experience. I will do my very best to make your experience the best. I have over 20+ years teaching and being an artist. I have enjoyed teaching the art of Swedish Folk Art to over one hundred people on the East Coast from Maine to Rhode Island. Thank you, Tina

p.s. this won't happen again, so sign up today! I'm going to Sweden next time. :)
