I hope that you are having a nice long weekend! I'm away visiting my family so I'm missing the barbeques and hang-outs; but I'm happy to be spending time with my Swedish family. It will inspire my art I am sure. I'm so lucky. 💙
But of course I'm thinking about what happened this week in Texas. I think that guns are to be used in only the most dire of circumstances to protect us, as our well-trained military has done. I feel that it's asking for trouble to make them accessible to everyone. If there were less guns people wouldn't be so scared and feel the need to own one. It's a vicious cycle and one that ultimately hurts our most precious and vulnerable citizens, our children .
I love kids and I've spent a big part of my life teaching, helping and protecting them. If you ever practiced hiding from a gunman like I have, you know how truly horrific it is. I just can't imagine the awful reality and now we need to make it so no one ever has to again! Every American babies life is in the line.
I'll step off my soap box for now, but privately I will keep praying for peace and working towards it. I know that many of you reading this feel the same. 🙏 Leaving you with some nice pictures of flowers that soothe the soul. Thank you to the fallen who have protected us in the past. Happy Memorial Day. Please be safe. 💛 Tina
